Making an Appointment
Asking for help can feel difficult, so we aim to make the process as comfortable as possible. You can meet with us in our peaceful clinic in the village of Clunes, or from your own home via an online meetup - whichever you prefer.
Get a GP referral
Visit your GP and they will send us your mental health referral. If we’re able to accept your referral, our friendly admin staff will contact you to arrange your Initial Assessment appointment. Please be aware that our waiting period is currently 3 - 4 months.
Your first appointment
We’ll talk with you about your current concerns, any previous treatment and your life history, to build a clear picture of where you are now and how we can support the changes you’re hoping for. We’ll plan your next follow-up appointment and discuss any steps needed in the meantime, so you leave with strong sense of direction moving forward.
Follow-up appointment
We usually suggest a follow-up appointment a few weeks after your initial assessment. This allows us to collect any additional information that we need (such as specialist reports or medical history), receive test results or review any medication changes. Follow-up appointments can be in made in person or via video or phone.
Staying well
From your follow-up appointment, we will help you put together a plan to maintain your wellbeing, identify any warning signs of setbacks, and know what to do if they happen. We’ll schedule in regular reviews with you appropriate to your needs. You’re always welcome to contact us to bring a check-in forward if challenges return or new concerns come up.
Contact us
Get in touch if you’d like to learn more or have any questions. For existing patients, please contact us by phone or email if you would like to make any changes to your next appointment.
